We developed a body of analysis that demonstrated the detrimental impact the expansion of these competitions would have on leagues.<\/span><\/p>\n

This included historic analysis and forward modelling to understand the extent to which leagues would need to adapt or shrink their calendars, and the impact of player rotation and injury on the attractiveness of their products.<\/span><\/p>\n
